Clara Turns 1!

It happened, well its actually happening Wednesday, but my little peanuts first birthday party was over the weekend. So much prep going into a little ones first birthday! I felt like it was a wedding. Okay not quiet, but a first birthday is a big deal. I finally gave up on a theme, and just went for a ton of color, balloons, streamers, and some Mickey Mouse (clara is head over heels in love with Mickey). The decor, the food, all of the love from family and friends, it actually turned out so much better then I was even envisioning! Don't ya love when that happens? Overall a magical day, for everyone we shared it with, I have one lucky little girl!

Window Shopping at Two Brunettes: Mallory's Bridal Shower Invites

I worked with the Mother of the bride for Mallory's bridal shower invites. The theme was shoes, with a touch of art deco, which were a very fun combo of elements to work with!

Paige's New Baby Announcements

I loved working on these new baby announcements for a surprise birth! The Manoklokas's didn't know if they were having a boy or girl, so these gender neutral baby announecments were ready to go to print as soon as baby Paige was born! These announcements will be added to the shop soon, and available in several colors!

I love these vintage feed sack patterns! There are so many of them here on KimmyMade's flickr set. I especially found myself drawn to the red, white and blue patterns. Maybe it's because I am day dreaming of hot summer days!

Designer Love: AIGA Austin Film Poster Award

The South by South West film festival presents an award every year to the designer behind these amazing posters, and I do believe this is the only festival who presents an award for Excellence in Poster designer, Yay South by South West! I adore this poster designed by Martim Vian & Zeke Hawkins which won the speical jury award.

Miki Sato

Speaking of Miki Sato has anyone seen her new work? I could just die right now a happy woman after looking at these. They are so me! Lucky for me, the Miki Sato shop has opened and has original work for sale! I will be saving my pennies to be purchasing one of these. SO beautiful it hurts.
