Oliva Manna's Shop

I am hunting for some new packaging materials for orders and I stubbled upon this adorable shop Olive Manna's. Show me anything with stripes and I am hooked, I especially love the polka gray ribbon, wouldn't it look so adorable around some kraft paper wrapping, or a fun solid.

Designer Love: Anagrama

Anagrama, has an amazing portfolio, their work is fresh, clean, with pops of amazing colors, and this packaging for Romantica really takes it to a new level in a big way for me.

I adored the bold pastels the hand written font gold foil stamping, its genius.

Package Design: Kevin Angeloni

I always fall in love with concept packaging, and probably because there are no limits to be practical and it is all just about the creativity. I can totally see these being sold in a specialty shop though, it would make a really fun gift. Kevin Angeloni's (a student!) concept for these pencils hasn't had a ton of positive feed back on Lovely Package due to the excess use of materials, but this is a concept meaning no limits, and its awesome!

Oscar Party Recap

Oh the Oscars, boy do we love dress gawking, ballot filling, and meal planning once a year for our Annual Oscar Party. Usually it just ends up being my husband and I, but this year we actually got to plan a party! As I said earlier, Cyd from The Sweetest Occasion came over last weekend to help me craft up cute little goodie bags, and items for the party.

The theme of our party was a film noir inspired old hollywood vibe, decorated with yellows, golds, creams and browns. We created little bags for popcorn, and snacks to go with several best picture nominees. Note the American Airlines  "air plane snacks" for Up in the Air!

Each attendee to our party brought a dish inspired by each film. We had so much food it was unbelievable. At the end of the night the ballot winner took home a pot of money and the official winner plaque, very serious. I did not defend my title this year, but I will prevail next, watch out.

Sufjan Stevens Christmas Boxset

I adore Sufjan Stevens, and we have had his christmas box set for a couple years now. We whipped it out for the christmas season and all of our road trips and I realized this would make such a wonderful gift for someone. Not only is the music amazing but look how adorable it is! The illustrations, layout, package designs and typography is all by him, and it comes with stickers!!

from me: to lindsay

This was the package I put together for Lindsay! When getting to know her I asked her to created a shop just for her. It could have anything her heart desired in it! So with keeping all of that in mind I put together this little creation! I found that Lindsay and I had so many similar interest it was so fun to make something for her!

I hit up a bunch of little antique shops and made a lot of the goodies up by hand. I wanted something a little interactive because I know Lindsay was a crafty girl. So I included lots of different collections like beads, shells, handmade felt flowers so maybe she could create some more of her own beauty! The vintage inspired hair pins were made out of these gorgeous old earrings I found at a local shop.  Lindsay had told me she loves all things linen so I snuck into her favorites gallery on etsy and loved these little reusable bags from Ulde Yrth.  And of course because Lindsay is a mommy I had to include a gift card (which I forgot to put in of course) to get custom mommy cards! Overall I can so see both of our personalities through out packages and I so loved getting to know someone across the united states through this exchange!
